The girls are wearing their green a day early they are making sure not to get pinched. This was at the urging of Megan. I told her St. Patrick's day is not until the 17th but she insisted that she needed to wear green. So here they are in all their green glory!

Oh, to be young and free and riding your bike on a warm Spring day....doesn't get much better than that!
We had another beautiful day 75 degrees and sunny. Two nice days in a row... we are getting spoiled. They are predicting cold and possible snow flurries tomorrow so that will snap us all back to the reality of March in the Midwest. The girls could not wait to ride their bikes when they got home from school today. I made them take Rebel for a walk around the neighborhood first. They didn't seem to mind and Rebel was thrilled to go.
P.S. I told them to look tough when I took this picture....LOL pretty-tough girls don't ya think?

Megan went to a birthday party today and got some "Fun Dip" in her favor bag. She was all about taking that sweet tart stick and dipping it in the colored sugar. That's the kind of candy ya have to enjoy when your'e young....cause when you grow up you realize it's a lot of work for nothing but a green tongue.

Rebel our little sun puppy. He loves the sun and being outside in the fresh air. Yesterday it was a balmy 60 degrees here. I know 60 does not sound all that warm but after a winter of temps in the single digits 60 is balmy. We took Rebel on a long walk yesterday plus I took him on a few short walks too...he slept so good last night...I don't think he moved at all. Today when I got home from work he was outside on his tie out watching the girls play. He was also rolling in the grass. I had the girls take him for a walk then when they got back we gave him a bath...he was a very stinky pup. I was so proud of him, after his bath he sat still and let me blow dry him. He usually tries to attack the blow dryer. He must have figured out that it feels nice to have warm air blow on him. Our little pup is growing up!

FRIDAY'S FEAST...........

Appetizer:
What is your usual bedtime? I try to get to bed by 10:30 I also try and read before I go to sleep so sometimes if it's a really good book a little later.
Soup:
When it comes to advice, do you give more or receive more? I would have to say it's 50/50.....or sometimes 60/40 or whatever just depends.
Salad:
Descrive a memorable meal you've had. I had an incredible meal with my sister one August...I think it was about 7 years ago or so...we were going downtown to see Music Circus...she got me tickets for my birthday. We had an incredible dinner at "Bibba's"....from salad to dessert it was perfect...great food and great company.
I also had a great steak up in the N. Eastern corner of Nevada...just the other side of "Slide Rock Ridge" with Bill Peck and company from the Smith ranch. The steaks were cooked on an open flame high in the mountains after a long day of riding horses...those steaks were so pretty on the grill I took a picture of them.
Main Course:
Name a work of fiction that affected the way you think about something. Oh this one is hard I have read so many great books. I guess one that comes to mind is "Widow of the South"....it was a novel based on a real battle that took place in TN. during the Cival War. They gave the facts of the lives lost and it was a huge number...like the combination of those lost in Pearl Harbor and those lost in Normandy....and to think they were all Americans fighting each other just over 100 years ago. They named some of the places in TN. and I have seen those names on exit ramps driving down to GA. Makes you think about all the history that has come before us.
Dessert:
What is your favorite type of fruit juice? Orange-Pineapple juice over crushed ice!

Rebel Report Rebel pup is going on six months old ( on 3-14) he is turning into such a smart little dog. He is doing very good with the come here and sit commands. He still has a thing for picking up rocks so we have to watch him when we are crossing the street that he does not find any gravel. Oh and he has figured out how to hike his leg. He can only do it if he has something like a light pole or fire hydrant to rest his uplifted leg on. It's funny but I swear he is proud of himself when he does it. I took these pictures yesterday...this is what he was doing when I was posting on my blogs...he was under the desk with his head resting between my crossed feet. Luckily I had the camera within reach and did not have to disturb him. Such a sweet pup.

B.F.F.
BEST FRIENDS FOREVER!
Yesterday as I was getting ready for work I thought to myself I should call Lorean and see if Brittany can spend the night. Paige and Brittany have been best friends since diapers. Lorena and I worked together at Anderson's and became friends. Brittany is 7 months older than Paige. I actually found out I was pregnant with Paige 5 days before Brittany was born. When Brittany was about 14 months old I started babysitting her 2 or 3 times a week. Paige and Brittany can not remember a time when they didn't know each other. Brittany used to live about 25 or 30 minutes away from us but recently they moved about 2 miles from Anderson's, so they are much closer...only about 15 mins. or so.
I called Lorena on my break yesterday and she said I could come get her for a sleepover. I picked her up on my way home from work. I called Mike on the way home and told him that when the doorbell rings to let Paige open it. So when we got to the house I had Brittany go to the front door and ring the bell. Paige answered the door, she screamed, got a silly grin on her face and jumped up and down laughing. Wish I would have had the camera. She also yelled "thanks Mom you are the best!". It was fun to surprise her .
The girls get along so well and they are good about cleaning up and playing with Megan too. I have a dinner to go to at Anderson's tonight so I will drop her back at home on my way to Andersons's.

Appetizer
What does the color pink make you think of? Well it is one on my favorite colors along with green. Pink is soft, spring, warm, girly, sweet, fun!
Soup
Name something you thought you had lost, but later found. One day I thought I had lost my neighbor's house key. I was so mad at myself...they were having company the next day and I was supposed to let them in. Luckily I found it in my coat pocket...after searching for hours everywhere else.
Salad
In 3 words, describe this past week. Sad, Busy, Hectic
Main Course
What are you obsessed with? My kids hair...they have to have their hair combed and out of their face or it drives me nuts.
Dessert
What kind of perfume or cologne do you like to wear? Clinique's " HAPPY" of course!
How sweet is this? These pictures are "for Reil"...they are not posed...after tucking Paige and Rebel in they snuggled up and went to sleep. I had to go in and get Rebel after about 30 minutes because I did not want him sleeping all night then being wide awake at 12 a.m. Paige goes to bed around 8 or 8:30 so the pup had to get up and go out in the cold for another walk before his real bedtime at 10:30. Hope this makes you smile!

After I read with Megan and tucked her in bed I went into Paige's room and saw this cute little scene. Paige reading her chapter book and Rebel curled up at her feet sleeping. Of course I had to run and get the camera. I have some more shots of them I will post later, getting tucked in and sleeping. I am so glad we got this little pup. He can be trouble sometimes but oh Paige loves him and he loves her right back...and that is worth all the trouble.

YUM-O!
Megan baked a cake....while Mike and I were at John's funeral Aunt Deb came to our house and picked Megan up at the bus stop. She brought over all the stuff to bake a cake and Megan did it all by herself (mostly). They ate lunch while the cake was baking and when we returned home she was frosting the cake. The rule is that you can lick the frosting if it gets on your skin...and with a little help from Aunt Deb it was on her nose. The cake taste as good as it looks.

Had a very busy day yesterday ....got the kids off to school (they had a 2 hour delay because of ice and fog), worked out at the gym ran a bazillion errands and then went to work. This is the cute sight I came home to last night...my puppy dog Rebel resting on the sofa. He lays like this with his legs straight out....doesn't look that comfortable, maybe it's his give me a hug pose. Ya know no matter how busy or bad of a day you have it is always good to come home to a sweet dog....cause your dog is always happy to see you and makes everything better.

After you read the "Friday's Feast" don't forget to scroll down and check my Snow Update!
Appetizer:
What sound, other than the normal ringing, would you like your telephone to make? How about that glittery magical sound that Glinda's (the good witch from The Wizzard of Oz) wand makes....that would be fun.
Soup:
Describe your usual disposition in meteorological terms:
Sunny and bright
Salad:
What specific subject do you feel you know better than any other subjects?
I know a lot about children's books....I kinda think it would be fun to be a librarian in an elementary school.
Main Course:
Imagine you were given the ability to remember everything you read for one entire day. Which books/magazines/newspapers would you choose to read? I would read up on American history, especially books written by people who made the history. I would read the Bible and maybe a few cookbooks...maybe a Julia Child's she was such fun, and finsh it off with any John Steinbeck that I have not read yet.
Dessert:
If a popular candy maker contacted you to create their next confection, what would it be like and what would you name it?
Well it is hard to top a See's milk chocolate Bordeaux but if I really had to make a candy....it would have peanut butter and maple covered in milk chocolate....I love peanut butter on my waffles...with maple syrup so why not cover it with milk chocoate....hmmm maybe I'm on to something?
