Megan's (early) 7th Birthday at Chuck E. Cheese.
Megan and I picked her girlfriends up and we were headed to Chuck E. Cheese by noon today. It was a good day to have an indoor birthday party since it was cool and rainy out. I had a coupon for 100 tokens for fifteen bucks. We also shared a large pizza and I had a salad.
Is it me or is this like a casino for kids? They have their little cups of tokens, they get tickets for playing the games, then they turn the tickets in for prizes. I wonder if Chuck E. Cheese's parent company also owns places in Vegas?
Here they are minus Cameron, she joined us after her game was over. They had a fun time and I survived Chuck E. Cheese with just a small headache...boy that place is noisy.

Rowdy's little birthday bash.
We sang him happy birthday while he opened his gifts.
As you can see he really gets "INTO" opening his gifts. Mike said "I think that is the most he has moved in a month!"
Rowdy is really funny about getting new toys. He will totally focus on a new toy like a little kid. He will only play with his newest toy the first week or so after opening them.
I think this is my favorite. After he got everything out he had to stick his head in one last time just to make sure he got all his prizes. Silly old dog!

Megan Rocks and Megan Rolls...on roller skates of course!
Megan can now add roller skating to her list of accomplishments. She dug out these Fisher Price "Trainer" in-line skates that used to belong to Paige this past Saturday. She just kept at it and now she's doing pretty good. I think the only thing that is holding her back are the skates themselves. Sometimes they come unstrapped on their own and that can hamper her progress but she just stops and fixes the latch and keeps on rolling. Maybe these skates are teaching her a good life lesson, just keep rolling.

On Tuesday we got up early 7 a.m...well early for summer time. We went to First Watch for breakfast because I had a coupon for a free menu item and it had to be used by the 18th. So we had breakfast out for my birthday. Then we headed over to Inniswoods Metro Park for a free kids activity called "Flower Power". The kids learned about flowers, planted a zinnia to take home and made a flower out of fun foam, a pipe cleaner and some glitter glue.
After all the activities we walked around the park for almost two hours. It was chilly when we first got there but after walking for a while it started to warm up.
Paige and Megan posed with their newest webkinz. Paige had a gift card to Justice from her birthday and she bought the cheeky pup. He has a black patch over his eye so she was going to name him Patch, but I told her that was too common. Then she said he looks like a pirate. Megan wanted her to name him DogBeard but I suggested Captain Jack Sparrow. In the end she named him Jack. Megan got a fluffy cat and she named her Alice after Mimi and Pop-pops cat that passed away last year.
Look at those big bumbles, I took these in the "bee garden" of course!
Paige was enthralled with the frogs in the pond, I think she took about a dozen pictures of them, she also has video of the frog sitting there, yep just sitting there like a bump on a log.
Here is a picture taken by a nice stranger that was passing by. Next time we will have to pick a less sunny spot. But at least we have one picture with the three of us.
