On our way back to Georgia we decide to take a detour to Daytona Beach, Fl so Megan can see the Atlantic Ocean. We were just gonna stop for about 30 mins. that's how much change we had for the meter. I told the girls "Please don't get your shorts wet, because I am not going to dig a dry pair out the suitcase for you to wear back to Georgia". Well it didn't matter that I said that and it didn't matter that Megan was hiking her shorts up because hey we were at the beach and there's a lot of water there and by gosh your shorts are just gonna get wet. So next time I will not bother with the "don't get your shorts wet spill" because after all they are kids and we were at the beach. So after the shorts get wet it didn't take much convincing to get Mike to spend the night. It was already noon, so we got a hotel room on the beach. Went up and put our swimsuits and sunscreen on and we were on the beach until about 6 p.m. It was so much fun and so worth it just to watch the girls collect shells and play in the surf. Lot's of good memories and what I loved the best is that it was unplanned and it felt like an adventure.Megan's first time on the Atlantic coast, Daytona Beach, Florida 6-25-07

Paige at Daytona Beach, FL 6-25-07...the last time she was on the Atlantic coast she was almost 3 and it was at Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Megan surfing in her life jacket with her kick board. The waves would wash her into shore pretty good since she only weights about 50 lbs.
Megan wipes out!

Megan recovers with a smile...she's a tough little surfer girl!
