Paige and Megan spinning on the tire swing at the park. I don't think these two ever get tired of spinning around in circles while yelling and laughing out loud. I had fun taking their pictures. What did we do before digital cameras. It is so nice not to have to worry about wasting film...ya just hope your batteries don't give out before you are done snapping those silly faces!

This is what is blooming in my yard today!

There is a big bumble on my roses.
Those darn Japanese Beetles have been eating holes in my zinnia leaves.

These pictures were taken on Sunday 7/15/07
Paige and her pup Rebel. Can you believe he is already 10 months old!?
This was a chance shot, Rebel yawning...silly puppy.

This pup has no idea how good his life is. A nice warm bed to sleep on with either Mike and I or Paige, he always has fresh water and food and someone to play with and rub his ears.
Life is good!

What to do when the sky is blue and there is a nice cool breeze and it's about 78 degrees? Hmmm how about a trip to the zoo...the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium to be exact. That is how the kids and I spent our afternoon. We packed some peanut butter sandwiches, grapes and brownie bites and water and went to the zoo for lunch and a walk about. There were lots of kids (baby goats) in the goat and sheep area. They are always too cute.

This curly guy made friends with Paige. Each time she would stop combing him he would turn and give her the "hey don't stop yet" look.
Just a cute couple of kids! (above and blow)

Megan got to ride Nick the pony.
Here Paige is riding on A.J. the pony, he is the youngest pony they have at 4 years old.

These were the only two Prairie dogs we saw today the others must have been hiding out under ground.

Ribbit a big ol frog on a lily pad!

I think the wolfs paw is bigger than Paige's.
Paige and Megan insisted on standing under the mister, even though it wasn't hot. I told them not to complain about being wet, and they didn't.

Brutus and Buckeye the brown brother bears that we got from Alaska a few years ago, they are orphans. They look like they could use a mister more than my kids!

An Eastern Bluebird, such a handsome little fellow.

Paige and Megan posing at Asia Quest, one of the newer sections of our zoo.

Baby Bhodi our 3 year old Indian elephant. He is growing big, has tusk already. He was out in the yard by himself, I guess his mama Phobe was getting a break.
Some pretty pheasants in the pheasant enclosure.

A big horned sheep from Asia, this guy can jump like nobody's business! When they first put him in the enclosure he scaled the walls and climbed over, luckily it was before the area was open to the public. But they did get video of it and they showed the tape for a while earlier last year. Look how pretty our sky was today...amazing for out here.
The girls rode the Carousel and Megan got on her horse all by herself. It was the first time that I did not go on with them. I just got to sit in the big red rockers and relax and take some photos. Do you know the difference between a Merry Go Round and a Carousel? Carousels go counter clockwise and Merry Go Rounds go clockwise. Now ya know!

This is Megan feeding the Lorikeets before this stinker below nipped at her and ruined her fun. Think we will refer to him as Crusty the naughty Lorikeet.

Paige did not have any problems feeding the Lorikeets, maybe her fingers don't smell as sweet as Megan's.
The Gibbons were fun to watch. There was a cute little baby one but he was too quick to get photos of.

Megan enjoying the boat ride in the Islands of Asia.
Smile sisters!
Paige and Mom, see I was there...behind the camera!
Paige Marguerite age 9.
My self portrait for July 20, 2007....I need longer arms! We hope you all have a wonderful weekend. If you are ever in our neck of the woods stop by and we will take you to our zoo! It's a great place just ask Jack !
