The day after my Dad and Carole arrived in Ohio we all went out to dinner at Jason's in uptown Dublin with Bud and Deb. We had a great time visiting and sharing stories about sky diving, fishing and even a Goodyear blimp story from Carole...who knew that she and Sam and Jenny got to ride in the blimp years ago in Oakland. That's pretty cool! Thanks dad for a fun night out....good memories!
Megan and Mimi and their big happy smiles!
Paige and Megan they were coloring on the white paper that was over the white table cloths. They were drawing animals and Megan said "this is a boomerang!" but she meant to say Orangutan..we all had a good laugh over that.
Our dear friends Bud and Deb...old married coupel they celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary on May 29th.

Here's the story: The girls came home from school and I offered them a little ice cream...there was barely enough for two small scoops. I gave my dad the carton to "clean up" and he got an instant friend in the form of an 8 month old rat terrier. Rebel hopped up on the back of the sofa and was licking my dad's bald spot... as you can see from the photo's Megan was thinking this was extremely funny.

Okay dogger that's enough now.

I'm back! Please accept my excuses for being absent from my blog this past week or so. First of all a few days before my dad and Carole came to visit our hard drive in our main computer where I have all my photos stored started acting funny and making scary sounds and then I was a little busy getting ready for company...ya know getting the house "company clean". I also had a spa day on my folks the day before they arrived. Last year for my 40th b.day they got me this wonderful spa package that I had to use prior to June 17th. So I decided to use it the day before they came...that way at least I would have pretty toes! It was awesome...a facial, full body massage (heaven) a manicure and pedicure...I was glowing afterwards or at least that's what my friends at work said that night.

So here are the updates...and don't forget to check out my photo of the day blog too....lots of pictures from a fabulous week with my folks....good times, great memories and lots of love, Brandi

Happy Birthday Sis!

My sister, Shannon's birthday is May 12 and my daughter Paige's birthday is May 13th so this will be a busy weekend for us...Party..party....party! These are the most recent pictures that I have of all of us from our trip to California in June of 2005. I looked through every picture from that trip and I do not have any of me and my sister together...except our feet. That is a shame...guess that's what happens when we are the ones shooting the photos. Guess we have to learn to hand the camera over and have it pointed at us next time.

Hope you are having a lovely weekend Sis. I love you and miss you with all of my heart! The Birthday girls....Aunt Shann and Paige.

Highlights from Paige's 9th birthday party.

I think that this was one of Paige's best birthday parties yet. It was small 6 kids and that is including ours. It was just the right number of kids and it helps that her friends are so sweet. I think one of the funnest things they did was play with the glow bracelets that I gave them when we were in the car on the way to and from the bowling alley. My sister had sent us a tube of glow sticks and I passed them out and they were a huge hit. So thanks Sis. Well I need to go get Megan ready for dance recital practice. So I will post again tonight or tomorrow. We still need to call my sister and wish her a happy birthday too. Plus we are having Uncle Dave, Aunt Terry, Uncle Steve, Brittney and Aaron over for a cookout tonight. The parties never stop at our house! Wish me luck!

I actually got a picture of Paige in the air while she was jumping with excitement...she got a STRIKE!

Paige giving Brittany a super duper big hug...after Paige opened the white terrier pup Webkinz that Brittany gave to her. Paige named the puppy Jenny, because Aunt Jenny in California has a white terrier.

Here are some more pictures from the Art Show at the kids school tonight. We have a bunch of new art for the fridge...it looks great. They even made these cute little colorful magnets. Oh I just love art night...it's so much fun! ( I'm not joking....it's fun to get to go make art with your kids and have someone else clean up the mess!)Paige's marker spin art.

Megan's colorful dragon...he is on our fridge now.
Paige's paper dragon with the 3-D head.

Paige Marguerite as Laura Ingles Notice the bare feet in the photo above. Paige says "In the "Little House" story that we are reading now Mary and Laura go barefoot because they are saving their shoes for winter". I hope Megan doesn't get any crazy ideas from that.

Two packages in two days....someone's birthday must be coming up.

Paige's Grandma Barb made this beautiful prairie girl outfit for Paige to wear to the 3rd grade Prairie Day's at school in June. When Barb and Jim were up here in late March Paige went to the fabric store with her and picked out the fabric for the dress and bonnet. Megan picked out fabric for her bonnet too, when Megan gets to third grade she will get a turn with the dress. Grandma is so sweet she made Megan her own apron too. As our neighbor Linda said when she saw the girls "Your Grandma must be talented to sew such pretty things". The outdoor pictures were taken in Linda's yard, I thought the rockers and little wheel barrow added a nice touch to the photos.
