Here are some pictures from our visit to "Boo at the Zoo" last Friday night. I guess I didn't have my red eye reduction on in these top two pictures...the girls look a little spooked/possessed , thank goodness it's Halloween.
Having some fun on the carousel they were playing all sorts of fun Halloween music, Monster Mash, Love Potion # 9, Thriller, it was lots of fun.
Megan got to ride Sock's the pony...look at that a cat riding a pony. Paige rode the pony Joe Brown but the batteries died in the camera before I could get her picture.

Here are some pictures from the rose garden at Inniswoods Metro Gardens. Why is it that whenever I am walking through a pretty rose garden I can't help but think of Lynn Anderson singing "I beg your pardon, I never promised you a rose garden". Guess it's from too many rides in my dad's old blue Ford pick up with KRAC country playing on the radio.
Anyways I hope you enjoy these roses on this Monday morning in October. It is to be 80 degrees here today and then rain overnight ( I bet there will be some thunder and lighting too). There is a cold front on it's way because the rest of the week it will only get into the 60's.I love those big old peony style roses like the ones above...they look so full and scrumptious.
This rose above looks perfect with the pale peachy pink turning to white, you can almost smell how sweet it is.
I like that this showy rose above has one little glitch on the one petal that is at 11 o'clock..just goes to show that beautiful things like beautiful people still have flaws.
This rose above reminds me of the wild roses that grew in Immigrant Gap near Aunt Daisey's cabin. It was always such a nice surprise to come upon them while hiking in the woods.
I LOVE this peachy-pink colored rose like the ones I carried in my wedding bouquet that Lisa and I made. Big ol sherbert roses...you could eat them up.
