This week is red ribbon week at the kids school. They have theme days each day of the week. Yesterday was "Put a lid on drugs day" the students and staff wore their favorite hat to school . As you can see Megan went with a western theme with her pink cow-girl hat. Paige wore her blue Qwest ball cap that her dad got for her last Spring. It has the Qwest dog on it. I noticed that most of the older kids 3rd grade and up went with a ball cap. Today is "Living Drug-Free Is No Sweat " day Paige wore sweats to school and tomorrow will be "Silver and Blue...A Drug Free You!" The students and staff will wear the school colors. Megan is excited to go to dance class today because her class gets to wear their Halloween costumes. She will be going as Snow White.

Rebel at 6 weeks old..... We went to visit our puppy this morning. He has really grown in just a week. His cordination is better and he was a lot faster on his feet. We may get him next weekend if Kathy feels that he is eating his puppy chow fine. As it is she says he is the first one to dig in. When we put him back in the whelping pen with his brothers he whined to get back out and play. As you can see from the photos below we all have a big case of puppy love!
BOO AT THE ZOO 2006
Last night we went to Boo at the Zoo. It was the first of two weekends that they have trick or treating and activities for the kids at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. We decided to go last night since it was dry and not too chilly yet. The girls had a great time. We even watched the big girls from Columbus Dance Arts do their Thriller Dance and the Dance of the Zombie Dolls. Paige's tap teacher from last year, Miss. Nicole was dancing so that was fun to see. Good thing for dance as you can see Paige and Megan are getting good use out of their dance costumes. Megan wore Paige's Snow White costume from a few years ago and Paige was a penguin...her favorite costume from last season. They are not very scary but they sure are cute!
Paige and Megan the two cutest pumpkins in thepatch!
The girls had Friday off of school so we went for a swim at the clubs indoor pool, then came home for showers and lunch. We made it to the pumpkin patch by 3 and had a fun afternoon picking pumpkins.

A Star is born
Here is our youngest dance star. At the dance studio they have some pictures from previous shows and some advertisements from the photography studio that does the photos. Well they have a picture of Megan with her Ladybug costume on from when she was 3. When Megan saw it she said "look my picture's on the wall that means I'm famous". Then last week before class while I was combing her hair she says "Do I look like a profesional dancer?" and I said "why yes you do" then she said "yeah but only smaller." In the pictures above they are tap dancing to the song "Bibbity Bobbity Boo" from Cinderella.
Ann had a surprise party for her mom last Saturday. We all had lots of fun and made some special memories. Scroll down for more photos! Paige, Great Aunt Marilyn and Megan Brandi, Mike, Paige and Megan Ann

Good thing I took these pictures last week. Jack Frost came along and now our garden will just be memories and photos til next Spring when we start again. These zinnias were a nice surprise. Megan and I planted them one July afternoon after finding some old seeds I think from 2005. We figured they would have a better chance to grow in the dirt than the see packet...and sure enough they did. We had zinnias 4 feet tall and loads of blooms and all different colors. It has been in the low 30's for the past 4 days when I put the dog out in the a.m. brrrr and this is just the start of the cold. Hope you enjoy looking at our flowers...we will grow more again next summer to share.

It's Rowdy dog! For those of you who have not had the pleasure of meeting, let me introduce you to Rowdy, my Rat Terrier. He was 10 years young this past June. He is my best buddy, he is smart, full of spunk and just a plain ol good dog. He loves popcorn, banannas, and peanut butter. He enjoys chasing his soft frisbe and catching it in the air. He also likes to hunt grasshoppers as in the photo above. He doesn't catch them as much as he chases them. But I know he gets a kick out of making them hop. Rowdy is a sun puppy, if you want to find the dog go look for a sunbeam and there he will be, sprawled out with his legs behind him like a frog. He is great with the girls and they are great with him. We are so blessed to have such a great little dog...he may be small in size but he has a big heart and he never hesitates to show his love for us.
