Paige and Megan visit with Smudge the miniature horse. Please don't call him a pony he IS NOT a pony! I am sure he would tell you that if he could only speak English.

Here are more pictures from our visit to the stable before we took off for Spring break. Paige starts her Spring riding lessons this Wednesday. Maybe that was why she was so happy to be back home from our visit down South.

As you can see Paige was thrilled to see Calliope again, it has been a long winter.

The girls visited with C.C. also, it was dinner time so he was hoping that we would have some oats for him.

The 5th Grade Living Museum

On Wednesday I went to Paige's school to visit the "5th graders living history museum". The kids had read biography's on famous people, wrote a paper, made an ABC book (each letter tells about a trait of the character) then they dressed up as their famous person. They each had a "button" to activate them. Some were very creative, Mozart had you play some notes on the electric keyboard, while Thomas Edison had you connect a battery to a light bulb, and Anne Frank had you sign your name in her diary.

Paige as Pocahontas

Kylie as Amelia Earhart

Vincent Van Gogh was there as was Princess Dianna

Ray Charles and Walt Disney

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Laura Ingalls Wilder

Our neighbor boy Harry was Ponce deLeon and Harry's big brother Ian was home from Clemson so I snapped their picture for their mom.
Francie made a cute Anne Frank

Mrs. Harnden Paige's soar teacher stopped by so I snapped her photo and she was nice enough to snap one of me and Paige.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Paige and Megan got dressed from head to toe in green shamrocks today. They are both sporting shamrock (removable) tattoos on their cheeks and arms. They also have shamrock socks on their feet and shamrock ribbons on their ponytails...like I said it's pretty much head to toe!

Poor Rebel is the only one not sporting any green today. Rowdy is always wearing green because of his collar.

Megan kind of has a Sham"rock" vibe going with the leopard print leggins, white jean skirt and the pink glitter belt. It works for her though, don't think it would look cute on anyone over 12!

Paige is wearing her new "goucho" style capris with the pretty green belt. She looks cool and comfy. It is supposed to get to 67 degrees today...the sun is shining so I think we will warm up.

Since it was so warm on Monday (near 60 degrees) I decided to give the dogs a bath.
Rowdy was first in the tub.

I know he looks miserable but when he's all done he feels better and gets all frisky.
I keep reminding him "everyone loves a clean dog!".

You can't tell from the picture but he loves this part getting all snuggled up in the towel for a rub down. Having the towel fluffed in the dryer doesn't hurt either.

He's almost done, some blow dryer time and then in my lap to get his nails trimmed followed by a puppy treat and he's back to being sweet clean Rowdy dog.

Megan and Cameron
B.F.F.

(BEST FRIENDS FOREVER)

I love these two girls so much. Only one of them is really mine the other one is borrowed from a good friend. These two have been best friends for about 6 years (they are only 7 1/2) so for most of their lives. They play together so well, they NEVER fight or disagree. They go to the same school but so far they have not shared a classroom, so recess time is special. They always greet each other with hugs and smiles. Megan is a pretty social girl with lots of friends but her true best friend will always be Cameron.

I love how I can come in and take photos of them and they just keep playing until I ask them to turn around. They were playing "Hotel for Dogs" (like the movie).

The other day I was thinking about moving that big ol doll house out of the bonus room. Then these two come in and play with it for hours.... think it will stay a while longer.
