Feast One Hundred & Fifty Eight

Appetizer
Who is the easiest person for you to talk to? My Dad, he never judges me and I know he does not gossip.

Soup
If you could live in any ancient city during the height of the quality of its society and culture, which one would you choose? Venice, Italy

Salad
What is the most exciting event you’ve ever witnessed? The birth of my children...Paige's was nice and calm, Megan's was pretty intense.

Main Course
If you were a celebrity, what would you do for a publicity stunt? Gee I can't think of anything original...the celebrities now a days are pretty clueless and immature don't think I could top any of their antics.

Dessert
What do you consider the ideal age to have a first child? I was a month shy of 32 when Paige was born. I am glad I waited til my 30's to have kids. Before that I got to practice on my nephew and niece and Nick and Jess (the kids I nannied for). But I wouldn't say there is a perfect age. My sister is just 3 years older than me and her kids are grown up and they all seem pretty happy too.

Megan and Paige out by the fountain.

For Deb's 40th birthday her two dear friends, Elisa and Cara had a lovely brunch for Deb and all her family and friends at Elisa and Dave's house. They have a beautiful home that was built in the 40's. It has incredible stone work with arched windows and the dining room has wood panneled walls and has these hand carved animals in them. It is an amazing home and the backyard looks like a park. It has a fountain with glass balls floating in it and it even has a putting green. It was a fantastic party. I took a photo of the flowers I should have taken some of the food too , because it tasted as good as it looked...and it looked great! The birthday girl hand knit these sweaters for Paige and Megan's birthdays. What a creative Aunt.
Me and Deb all smiles.

When I got home from work on Sat. 8-17 me , Mike and the girls went to a car show over in Westerville. It wasn't very big but they had some fun cars and bikes for the kids to enjoy. I think this one was their favorite hands down. This is all hand painted no decals...it is amazing!

This car above was covered in sparkles...it gets the sparkle award!

After Aunt Deb's birthday balloon launch Bud was nice enough to blow up some balloons for Paige and Megan to take home. When we got home we wrote on a self addressed stamped post card and sealed it in a zip lock bag and attached it to the strings of the balloon. Deb and Bud had done this the previous week and they had gotten one of the three post cards that they launched back. So far we have not received any of ours back, but each time one of the kids sees a balloon they wonder aloud where their balloons might have landed and if they will get their post cards back. Deb's landed 90 miles south of Columbus. We will keep you posted about ours. The kids would be so thrilled if they ever get their post cards in the mail, if not it was still fun to watch the balloons float off.

After the pool on Aug.14th (Aunt Deb's #40 birthday) we stopped by Deb and Buds so the kids could change out of their wet swimsuits...the pool in only 3 blocks form their house. Well we got there just in time for Bud to blow up (with a helium tank) 40 balloons. He called us all out to the driveway and said "Happy Birthday Honey this is what 40 balloons looks like". Then we all marched over to the park next to the condo complex and Deb made a BIG wish and let her balloons go flying up into the sky. Paige and Megan got a big kick out of it.

On Tuesday 8/14 the girls and I joined Grace and her mom Wendy at the new Dublin pool for some fun in the sun. It is like a water park compared to our pool. It had two slides and the bigger one pictured here is a tube slide. They have double and single tubes to ride. Megan was two small (they have a height restriction and a swim test) to go this time but I bet next year she will be big enough. Oh yeah Grace is one of Paige's dance friends, they have been in ballet and tap for a few years now. Wendy and Grace are total sweethearts and we always enjoy hanging out with them.

This slide was in the little kids area and it was just right for Megan. They also had all these sprinklers and water chutes to play in.

The day before Great Grandma's 91st birthday the girls and I went to "Build A Bear" and made this little pup for Great Grandma. At B.A.B. they call him the brown sugar pup so the girls wanted to name him sugar. I wanted to call him Pedunks because that is what Grandma used to call me when I was little and also my girls. She refers to any cute little kid/baby as a "Pedunks" whatever that is?! Since I was the one typing out the certificate I took the liberty to name him Sugar Pedunks. We also put a little voice box in his paw and recorded our voices it says "Happy 91st Birthday Great Grandma, We LOVE YOU! Brandi, Paige and Megan. We each made a wish for Great Grandma on a satin heart and placed them inside too. Before I put him in the box to send him the girls each gave him a BIG hug that way when Great Grandma hugs Sugar Pedunks it will be like getting hugs from her Ohio girls!

Don't forget to check out my "Picture of the Day" blog it is all freshly updated too...there will be photo's of the girls first dance classes for the 2007-2008 season tonight as well.

Hey there I'm back... and I am going to try and catch this blog up to speed in the next few days..so let's go back in time for a moment. These pictures are from August 10th our 11th wedding anniversary. Mike and I took a motorcycle ride down to Logan, OH about 40 minutes south of Columbus. Here I am standing at the door of the rooftop cottage at the Laurel Brook Farm Bed and Breakfast. I think the reason I am not all smiles is that it was taking forever for Mike to snap the photo and I was hungry for the first time in 3 days. I had been diagnosed with strep throat on Thursday and here we are Saturday a.m. and I want some breakfast!
Mike sitting across the room from the bed...it was very cozy but very nice.
The bed had a sky light above it and their was a cover you could put up so that you could sleep without the sun blasting you in the face.

The view from our private deck. It was so nice being so far out in the country. The stars were crazy and we were able to see the meteor showers...very cool!

Mike's Honda Nighthawk...it spent it's first night ever (since Mike has owned it) outside...no garage.
